Message	his compression numbers are not to bad. If her tears open the longblock he is goign to have alot more expenses 1. Engine rebuild kit 2. Machine work for the heads and the block 3. Water pump 4. and who knows what else he will want to upgrade or do. And if he is going to tear the block open he might as well replace the weakness components in the VG block the pistons maybe add some cheap eagle rods. Oh wait maybe a simple 3 angel job on the heads, oh lets not forget deburring the water passages. Anyone who starts this way will end up in a roller coaster of upgrades and costs :-) I recommend run as is and if you are doing the work yourself, run it for a while until you break something :-P then upgrade. If it is not broke don't fix it
